Established in 1953, F.Griffiths and Sons butchers have a wealth of experience and expertise in the meat and poultry industry. We select only the very best cuts to provide our customers with lean, tasty meat all year round. All our animals have been reared in the West Country by carefully chosen suppliers. Over 3 generations, we have established long-term relationships with many specialist farmers who value our passion for excellence and who deliver fantastic quality consistently. We know exactly where our food comes from and exactly what ingredients are used in the preparation of our award-winning recipes.
Let us wet your appetite! Our farm fresh west country meats include lamb from the undulating hills of the Mendips and Chilterns; our beef is reared in a traditional style on the rich green pastures for which Somerset is renowned. Our naturally fed pigs provide meat with a deliciously tender texture and with that all-important crispy crackling! We make a range of succulent home-made sausages, so special, they win prizes! Then there’s our local Somerset Dry Cured Back Bacon – it’s lean, dry to cut and has an excellent delicious flavour that comes from the best prime Somerset Pork, cured on our own premises. We also specialise in unusual and tasty rare breeds, should you fancy something a little different.
If you value the old fashioned high street shopping experience, we have 3 traditional butcher shops in Wells, Street and Ashcott.
